Pure Gold

Al, I had to write this to say that the other week in Yorkshire, Terry Dobson presented me with an album that you never got to finish. Hearing your voice again on brand new songs that were completed by your son Dean has given me such a lift, I'm sure you must be so proud of him for what he has achieved.
I am the luckiest guy in Ireland to have those recordings now,and I will treasure them till my dying day.It truly feels like you are still here with us and I am inspired again,in a way like I havent been since the world lost you.
Thank you for such a wonderful gift,more valuable to me than pure gold,

15 years on

Al, after all this time you are still as much a part of my daily thoughts as you ever were. I wish I got to know you as well as I know the guys from Smokie now. I know we would have been the best of best friends.
I hold on to the times I did meet you and the things I learnt from you. As times move on,these memories become more precious but what you have left for us will always remain with us through thick and thin.
Your message to us lives on,and we will always have your songs and your music to inspire us just like you always did.
